Hi all
I will start a Defender resto thread soon but currently I have some questions.
The Defender is a 1992 ex fire service 200tdi CSW. Engine is spot on, 104k on the clock, pulls like a train. I plan on doing a full refurb, new colour, wheels, interior etc.
I also have an S reg 300tdi 50th anniversary Discovery 300Tdi Auto that is pretty rotten and I plan on breaking.
I see people have mentioned fitting Disco axles it earlier Defenders to give disc braking to the rear and also the ability to fit later style alloys. What's involved in the process and any issues with prop couplings etc?
Also have read about fitting Disco transfer boxes too. Would the one on the Disco I have available for parts be suitable?
Kind regards
