I've done a search but can't find the answer!
My air intake hose has a massive split and is currently held togther with gaffer tape. this is the one from the air intake on the passenger side wing to the air filter housing. It seems to disappear into the inner wing near the bulkhead and I can't see how / where it fastens and how to reach it.

It's been 10 years since I fitted my snorkel and if I remember right you need to remove the filter canister out of the way in the engine bay to give you some room then take the grill off the side of the wing. the inner cup can then be manipulated out of the hole and separated from the pipe then It's a case of wiggleing it out. There were no brackets holding the pipe on mine it was just a right bitch to do.

Hope this helps

At the moment theres half a roll of gaffer tap wrapped round it and its -5 C outside so I'll leave it until its a tad warmer.

They're a pain in the ar$e and guaranteed to take some skin off your knuckles! Leave it until it warms up before attempting to strip it down.

Ta BlueH. Off to Oz end of next week anyway so it'll have to wait until I get back. I just couldn't work out where it went as manuals don't seem to show it.
