Hello.. wonder if anybody can help.

Im having problem selecting gears. It will occasionally pop into a gear (not reverse), but the gear stick seems to have gone mad and the normal gear pattern doesnt seem to be there. I have checked Gearbox oil, drips out nicely when i undo the fill up screw thing.

I have got as far as 'just about to take the 13 gearbox cover screws out', but am i woofing up the wrong tree? (just following Mr Haynes book).

Once i get there (just seemed logical to look), what should i expect and what should i be loooooking out for ... or ANY OTHER IDEAS :-(

Ta very much (in hope).

Regards

take the gbox cover orf inside the cab and check that the nut at the base of the g lever is tight.
could be the nylon pad in the gear lever housing is fooked or the raiko bush that the ball at the btm of the gearlever fits into.

ah smell a rat with yer selector yoke....probly gonna have ta pull the whole gear lever assembly orf the box
