Found some unexpected debris in my Freelander rear offside when I got home this evening !

Bad luck there. It looks a bit too big and a tad too close to the sidewall to be repairable.

That's what I thought, dam, had at least another years worth of wear in it as well.

Definitely a spent cartridge case. Happens all the time to me, saving the world every day.......

Yes it is, I thought it was a 9mm pistol case at first so thought I would get away with it, but as I started to pull it out I discovered it was a 5.56 rifle case. I have worked on Army bases for 29yrs, but never known anyone pick up a spent cartridge in a tyre.

Yes. But it has an old Freelander body to avoid detection.

It will be the 5.56 as I was on camp today, just wasn't expecting that to happen.

Yes the front wheel flicks it up, and it hasn't quite fallen over as the rear tyre engages it, much like bond and his women!
