Is this a bit steep for a disco 2?

Imo its over priced i know it states the work carried out but you could get a decent facelift model for that.
Also is X reg a 99 if so he says its had two owners from new but they've had it since 1999:confused:

And them wheels are way too big:eek:

All in all i wouldnt hand over that money for it.

Apalling spelling, and once again proves the point that the more you modify a Discovery, the harder it will be to get your money back if you go too far out on spec. It has also been sat unused for 3 years on SORN, but has still racked up 180k miles.

2" lift with 19" wheels looks a tad silly IMO, the galvanised chassis is a bonus, although it says 're-galvanised', so is that a new chassis or an older one that has been cleaned up?

For an X reg 1999 it is overpriced.

Walk away.

Chassis rot is the biggest consideration when buying ANY age D2. So think about this !. A galvanised chassis £2000.00, additional parts needed when fitting it, £500.00 plus. ( add anither grand if youre not doing it yourseld ). Aside from all the other work done, I'd say its not bad at all. ( I can show you plenty of 5k facelift cars that are already failing mot,s due to chassis rot ).

X is late 2000 reg into early 2001.

Looks like he has spent a fortune on it and is now trying to recover his money.

My biggest issue would be that there is no way you would get an insurance valuation for more than about 2k on a Disco with those miles unless you went (and paid for) specialist insurance.

And if I was modding one to that extent i would want to do it myself so I know how well its been done.

My valuation would be no more than 3k tbh.

Personally I wouldn't believe a word seller is saying, sorry.

It's way over-priced and stupidly modified. If they have put heavier duty springs on, it's ride like a hard thing on hard day, feeling every lump and bump.

Walk away quickly.

Dave

PS If you do go to look at it, check all the door pockets and glove box for 'smack'.

I'm in the middle of taking the bits off my face lift D2 because everyone adviced me it wouldn't sell with the suspension lift and discreet winch etc etc
And I was only going to put it up for £4500
So that sounds dear to me
