Real moral of the story... Don't ever forget the golden rule of dealing with fuel starvation... NEVER assume there is fuel in the tank, even if the gauge says so... :D

Considering the tank is rated at 90 litres capacity. Sounds like you had definitely run out of fuel then. :D:D

Dunno. There's a filling station near me that seems to result in 2 litres for tank and one litre for me cacks, shoes & forecourt. Why does that happen with some pumps?

For best results i always find it better to place nozzle in tank filler neck before pulling trigger. :D:D

Stand fast... Pump appears to be working fine...

Except the one thing a pump really needs is... Fuel in the tank to pump out!! Looks like my level sender is lying... Put 10L in the tank, after a bit of a crank fired up and ran fine. Drove to petrol station... And it took 82L before the pump shut off... D'oh!!
Turnip...:D:p

Glad your all sorted remember if any of you need a pump local to me I have new one I keep in stock just in case you never know . Diesel tho
