Got a 3.9 with bigas LPG, uses about a pint of water every 7-10 days. last night she packed in in traffic at tick over. Petrol in tank + 10L ish lpg in tanks. Started again but dropping off as if out of juice. Limped home then failed to start. Put petrol in tonight, got strong spark at dizzy +plugs. Pressure in fuel rail, all fuses/relays good. Starts with a lot of throtttle + turning over on petrol, then dies either with throttle or when revved +let off. Strange chemical/oily smell while turning over, runs sweet at tick over once going. Help.......:mad:

are you on gen cap leads and rotor?
proberly fuel pump fubard as it runns constantly when on gas try a pressure gauge 14 ish psi

Sent her off on back of a low loader to Simon Services. Had plenty of pressure at pump- all boot sprayed when opened jubilee clips on pump. seems like low pressure in fuel rail, petrol on 2 and 6 plugs. no other faults found apart from lack of pressure in fuel rail. cheers.

Had the same on a nissan , enough pressure to spray you but not enough to run properly, probably just the pump then matey :)

Sorted it. Not fuel starvation, bad wiring and an air leak. Tony swapped rotor arm. [and fitted dizzy cap properly, wired 3+5 plug leads right :-* . . . ]. Also the vacuum pipe from the bottom of the stepper motor to the throttle body had come loose, allowing air to bypass MAM into the plenum and weaken mix right down.
