Hi Lee - on the back of the wheel on one of the spokes / arms you will find a little circle about the size of a 5p coin.
In the middle of the circle is a 2 digit number - the year of manufacture.
Around the edge are 12 segments with one of them marked differently from th others - a double dot perhaps, but not always, - this the month. eg if the segment at the bottom is marked it's June - if the top one then it's December.
There is no way of knowing what year of vehicle the wheel is for using the date of manufacture.
You can only be sure that it can't be for any later vehicle. A wheel marked 99 or 02 cant be for a 2006 model. A wheel marked 04 or 05 could have been intended as a spare part for a 1999 Freelander.
The vehicle its for can only be accurately determined form the part number cast onto another spoke / arm.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
