no dodgy MOT its a new MOT requirement not being inforce long
Gentlemen,
By way of an update for you, I managed to locate (after much searching). The MOT test manual issued by VOSA.
The date was Jan 1st 2012 and it clearly states that the tester checks that the lamp:
1. Is present
2. Illuminates
3. Does not indicate a fault.
So, clearly the car did not pass the MOT in JULY, as per the standards released in January of the same year.
I am now seeking advice before I approach the garage/VOSA/Trading standards etc etc etc.
I have no issue with the car requiring work due to age etc (I have just last week spent the best part of £500 on new brake pipes being fitted) but I do get more than slightly P&@553d off when I discover I was sold the vehicle with the fault and a new MOT that should have discover the fault.....!!!
Not happy in the slightest
