difflock is on - dont drive it until yu know how to use your vehicle

double check to make sure your out of diff lock.
if light still shows, switch may be buggered somehow, but check, double check if your out of diff lock.
As nrgserv says, you'll bugger our tyres and transmission.

over to the rh side ,diff lock works independantly to hi/low even though its the same lever

on mine, 300tdi, to the left (nearside) is diff locked
to the right (offside) is diff unlocked.
they should all be the same, but a mates 300tdi hi / low is opposite to mine
if in doubt jack a front wheel up and with diff unlocked you should be able to spin the wheel reletively freely, diff locked it will move a few degrees then lock up either direction
