Reet. Haynes gives it just a one spanner rating, so should be a piece of ****.
1) disconnect battery completely, wait 10 mins for airbag system to discharge
2) with steering column in lowest position, undo 4 screws holding outer cowl (2 in top above instruments, 1 under each switch pod)
3) move cowl forwards till multiplugs onto switches can be unplugged then unplug them, then remove surround
4) slacken and remove retaining screws securing the instrument panel upper cover in position and lift off the cover
5) remove 4 further screws securing the instrument panel to the fascia
6) disconnect the wiring pulgs from the instrument panel (noting their fitted positions to make refitting easier) and remove the instrument panel
Refitting is the reversal of removal.
The section on instrument panel lights warns to be very careful to match the rating of the old bulb to new, especially for air bag, ignition warning lights etc.
Should you wish to check section 12.11.9
But anyway, all of the above is without prejudice, at your own risk, no liability given or implied by the writer, blah blah, haven't a leg to stand on (maybe heather mills has a spare)
