Hi All,

Discovery 1, used it for the first time in the dark last night and noticed something odd, just checking this is 'the norm' before i modify to sort it....

When i put the lights on at night, the dials all light up green, back lit green light and all the instruments can be seen easily.

But, the needles are not illuminated, and are just plain white in colour, they are really difficult to see at night, mainly just by the silhouette they cast over the gauges back light.

Is this normal????

If it is, i'm going to put a 12v green LED, wired to the lighting circuit, on the steering column surround to illuminate the clocks.

Thanks

Matt

No individual illumination for the needles and they should be clearly seen. Dial illumination should be bright and even all the way round if not you may have a lamp out.

And you have the white needles too then? (in daylight)

I just thought it odd that all four needles where un-illuminated, so i didn't think it would be a bulb

Ah, looking at RAVE it suggests that there should be some bulbs above the instruments between the dial faces and the clear cover that should illuminate the cluster. Mine doesn't have these working, so i'll strip it down and check the bulbs.

Cheers

Matt
