Looks like a relay base with a shorting link in the cap for when the relay isn't used in a particular model but you need continuity through the base

And this connector for what can be here near the hazard switch and rear window heater switch?

I havent the third switch in the panel!1.hazard 2.window heating and 3 what is missing....i think it will be the interior light switch?

Is there any particular reason you are yanking random wires and plugs from the bowls of your dash, or are you just bored

If it works, leave it alone. You will find year's of repairs and bodges that will take you months to work out.

Start with the manual if you haven't got one.

I have the jack of this relay on my dash but relay i havent.....i have another defender for parts and its dash have this relay if i would know what is it i will install the relay

I restore a defender because that i woul install any wires relays back to original state

No - well at least mine does - it sits in the dash.

Rock the switch to interior & test the volts.
Not got a wiring diagram to hand to make sure the feed is the same for both interior & dash

The dash lights are taken from HD free.

The interior light suffers at the negative on the switch. Run another line to earth from the light and check the bulb / switch.
