Hi and help please. Disco 2 TD5 2001. Started fine this morning but after a few seconds the horn continually sounded until I disconnected the earth on the battery. On re-connection, the warning lights, fuel and temp gauges did not function.
Can anyone help with this please?
Thanks. Andy

Nice u try to give a little advice and u get no reply. ( have u checked the flux copaseter fuse under the shaft arm) this sometimes causes the horn to sound continuously.

Landybandy, thank you for your response about the horn sounding continually. Missed this as I was redirected to the D2boys club for further advice. Still trying to get the dashboard up and running as none of the instruments / lights are working except for the srs light. Checked all fuses and earth according to sierrafery but all seem to be ok. Any further ideas to get the dash board functioning would be very welcome. Thanks Andy

This is first post I have found relating to my problem. Didn't get any replies to my posting a month ago. I have very similar problem on my 300 tdi. My hazards started lashing when disco was parked up. Used fob to switch on and off immobiliser and they stopped flashing. Since then no dash warning lights, temp.gauge, rev counter or speedo. Check engine and SRS lights on permanently but it drives fine. Notice that SRS light pulses during driving. Maybe alternator fault? Will check it out later.
