Went to the local store and picked up some new bulbs for the dash because I cant see how fast I'm going at night. They seem a little brighter but I'm having issues with the green filters.... should I remove the green things, and if so how???

I've seen some dash pictures on the web all nice and bright with the led jobs, but they must have taken out those filters...

Watched this guy do his defender, kind of what I want to achieve

Thanks in advance

So you left the green filters in and the light was blue after you put in the LED's?? I'm going to wait until it gets a little darker and see if the new bulbs work better, if not I'll have to buy the LED's, they are pretty pricey...

Thanks

yeah i left the green filters in ( as cannot be removed on my landy)
cannot tell that they are there

if i remember correctly LEDs cost me about $30 (australian company)

You can, very carefully, drill a hole in the green plastic filters.
Thats what I did and used pre wired led's from ebay.

I used the same led's for my interior lights;

Thanks very much guys, I think I'm going to take out the green lenses with the drill like you say 11019. Going to have to do it next week though, traveling out of town this tomorrow for the weekend. I'll try the old lights first and then if they still dont do the job I'll get some LED's

i replaced my dash lights with

the ones from the video (but my ones are blue)

i left the green filters in as the bulbs just replace the old ones.
but you cannot tell that they have been left in.:D

they are alot brighter:D:D some photos different landys but they show the difference ( if photos show )

I did mine a few years ago and I did not remove the green filters. Still a lot brighter and clearer than the old ones , in fact just done my 110 also

Although I have not yet worked out where to get a blue bulb that fits the clock, as they are different to the speedo and other gauges
