I tried wiring my dash cam in today but every 5 amp / 7.5 amp I tried stayed on after I'd turned the ignition off Any ideas which is a switched fuse?

That fuse is in the engine compartment fuse box. I want one in the fuse box below the glovebox.

Why not just wire it to the back of the power socket.

Have you checked the power doesn’t shut off after the car is locked and it’s gone to sleep from the fuses you’ve looked at?

I wired mine to the 12v socket next to the gearstick,

Mines the same as others. Wired to the back of the cig lighter although I believe Nodge is correct and they are now auxiliary power sockets.

Just had my dash cam wired in by Halfords. I know he wired it into the fuse box in the glove box but don’t know which fuse he wired it to. When I get chance I’ll have a look.

Sure, it's the fourth fuse in from the left top row. 5 amp.

I’m so sorry Bigal839, I compleatly forgot about this. I’ve just been out to get a picture if it helps. The thick red wire with inline fuse is something to do with it but that’s all I can see sorry.
