I can't say if it's an anomaly in the Hawkeye or not but I cleared the exact same 'historic' fault code in the ABS ECU many times and each time, the ABS and TC light stayed on. I gave up for a spell and started looking in to what the Hawkeye is able to read and the only fault code the BECM had stored was an ABS fault. I then cleared that but not the ABS ECU and the lights stayed on. So I cleared both the ABS ECU faults and BECM 'ABS fault' before starting the car again. All lights went off as they should after that. I can't fault the Hawkeye really. Any code it's shown me has a full explanation to it and not just a number.

The BECM DOES NOT store fault codes. Other than those already mentioned.
 
Is it possible the manufacturers have used the BECM to piggy back to another ECU and get around some sort of Land Rover coding block? Just spit balling. I'm happy regardless. She is booked in to her MOT on Thursday morning.

Just have to change out the drivers door handle and she's good to go.

No real idea, but it sounds like Hawkeye is doing something impossible.
 
Apologies, I thought I did. The ABS ECU had the fault of a sensor short. When checking the BECM stored faults it had one stored as 'ABS Fault'. That's really just it. If only one of the systems was cleared, then the fault remained. It took clearing both at the same time to clear the lights. No magic. No additional faults or numbers. I'll post pictures of the options on the Hawkeye BECM option after the MOT. I don't want to tempt fate beforehand!

I will say again, the only things the BECM stores that can be deleted are the outstation communication data and RF data. Various things are written to it. EKA code Security code Etc. Various functions can be allowed or disabled. But it DOES NOT store fault codes from various ECUs.

I believe you guys, I'm brand new to all this and so I'll email Bearmach and ask what the Dickens they've put the ABS fault in to the BECM for?
