Rant alert!

So after performing flawlessly throughout the cold (no snow to speak of in Preston) i got in last night to come home from work and it was just cranking over and over and over - nothing!

Tried jump leads on it - nothing just cranking over then making a clicking noise as though the battery was fubar.

Called the breakdown people (due to the large number of calls we are recei....) 2f 30 hours later they rolled up and he couldn't jump start it, tried easy start but with the battery weakened, nothing...

Onto the back of the transporter and back at the depot, he connected up to the words largest battery pack/jump start device - started first time! hurray!

Hal hour journey home and all seems well, he said the battery was holding its charge so should be ok, but at 8 years old it is getting on a bit.

Any ideas for a make of new battery anyone? or just go to Halfrauds?

I bought mine online from Car Batteries, Cheap Car Batteries, Replacement Car Batteries, Next Day Delivery from Perfomancebatteries.co.uk. It arrived the next day in an awesome box, and has been rock solid. So much cheaper than Halfrauds and delivered. I uprated mine slightly due to the abuse it takes in the winter. Great service.

i bought mine from euro car parts the guys were realy helpful i was in to buy a bosh with 1years warranty but they do a brand called lion with life time warranty and £30 cheaper than the bosh

Euros! hahahaha what a load of w4nk3rs! For a start Bosch come with 3 years warranty, if it was 1 year it was probably one of their fakes (and yes they do sell fake Bosch...and Bosch do nothing about it because they are also "a good customer".
Lion's aren't too clever...

Get yourself an Optima....the car will die before the battery does

Bosch have a 5 year warranty - at least the S range does
