I'm seriously considering buying a Pure Highway H640DBi as I need (OK, want) Bluetooth streaming and DAB and have the opprtunity to pick up a unit for £89 rather than the regular £130 asking price.
This would be replacing my current Alpine unit so fitting will be nice an easy, but I do have a question that I'd like an answer to if anyone can assist.
This is that I don't want to use one of the horrible windscreen stick-on aerials and would much rather use the existing inbuit window aerial on the Disco 2 by using a DABFM splitter which allows you to use your regular aerial rather than paying out for a dedicated DAB one.
From what I can gather many of these splitters are for 'passive' i.e. unpowered aerials but I gather the signal is boosted on the Disco 2.
Has anyone fitted a DAB radio to their Disco 2 and did you use the existing aerial
I've had teh Pure Highway 'external' DAB unit for many years now and just need to enjoy DAB without the hassle of setting it up and putting the magnetic aerial on the roof each trip!
