I've got an issue with DAB in my 2012 D4 HSE. After couple of minutes it stops working. It looks like it loses reception then gets stuck searching and eventually just displays "no reception" or station name but there's no sound. Quick switch off and on of the system doesn't help, it only starts working again after an hour or so after parking up.
When its not working everything else is working fine including DTV etc.

Has any one had anything like this before? I'm a bit puzzled how to investigate what the issue might be.

I had a similar issue in my Freelander. I eventually found that it was caused by interference from my phone and charger. I have to keep the phone at least a meter away from the aerial and make sure that Bluetooth is off.

No, its none of the above suggestions. It used to work just fine then one day started playing up. No change in other variables. It feels like a software issue but i cannot understand what caused it to appear

Is is possible by an end user? I updated MMI on Audis before, iDrive on BMWs but didnt think its possible on LR outside of dealer network

Yes you can update loads of stuff on the D3/4, using the IID BT from Gap Diagnostics.

However your issue sounds like a fault with the DAB receiver module.

Right a bit of an update. This morning DAB disappeared from the system altogether...

Clearly some sort of issue....

When I check diagnostic screens, in Application State Info screen DAB Main says state shut down and resource status Not available.

Where is a DAB module located?
