Holy ****. That is too cheap, far too cheap almost £10k too cheap.

I would get the VIN and do a full HPI check and anything else you can think of. If its clear then take it and keep it

I would expect around £10k but maybe it's age is against it or they just have money to burn? Maybe it's all legit and he just wants a quick sale?

Maybe yeah. Never know! Checking ebay Similar age higher mileage CSWs are going for £12 - 13k. So £14 - £15k for an XS isnt far off.

All you can do is do every check you possibly can, at that price is worth throwing down a deposit just incase. Then run everycheck you can.

Definitely. My mate is gonna check it further. But even if it needs a bit of work, it won't be the £10k under its value will it! So still a bargain

Exactly. I would go over it with a fine tooth comb. If its not nicked or a ringer worst case is a rotten chassis which is £3k at the most, still makes it £8.5k and less the market value!

That said when I was looking for mine I had a similar situation. 2004 90 XS 50k on the clock. £5k. Located in Scotland, was about to head up there, after a clear HPI check but then they emailed me a few days layer with a new report stating it was stolen.... Dodgy world...

Wayyyy to cheap, that is a scam, inquire after it,I bet there is some crap excuse why you cannot view it.It will be in the north of Scotland, the seller has moved to another country etc etc, loads of these scams on ebay etc.

A smell a fish mate! Tell your old mate not to be parting with any cash until he sees and drives IT! Do every check you can and once or if it is still all they say make sure he gets proof of purchase and lots of details about the seller.

I have emailed about it,will look forward to the reply.:D

Be interesting to know what they say.
Yes it certainly will,i inquired after a vehicle like this,a few months ago, that was in London, turns out the seller had moved his car showroom, from central London,to the wilds of northern Scotland, yeh right. So they said they would deliver it to me for inspection, but i had to put the purchase price,in the ebay escrow bank, there is no such thing,it is a scam bank account. So i did that, not.:D

Yeah it stinks of scam, unfortunately they have probably sold the vehicle 10 times this week! Good on you for not getting turned over.

Then one day an old Land Rover got traded in, then you stopped selling them and just bought them? Maybe!
