The rope in the picture looks like a cheap car accessory shop rope which wouldn’t be anywhere near big enough to tow a Landy. You can buy decent tow ropes on eBay or from a Landy accessory or parts supplier. However, I wouldn’t leave it on the bumper as it would either get nicked or would deteriorate with constant exposure to sun light, bad weather and road grime. If you must have one for the looks, I wouldn’t use it if you intend leaving it on the bumper...

I assume you are trying to achieve an aesthetic more similar to these than the pic you posted?
I would second what has already been said, by all means get some nice natural rope made up and wrapped around the bumper but I would not then be trying to use it for recovery if it is kept there permanently. i would also suggest looking into some way of trying to permanently secure it (more permanent than cable ties) if you plan on leaving it in place permanently as a visible accessory as it is likely to go walkabout as soon as you turn your back.
Safety bow shackles are better than std, screw pin, D's (as in your picture).
With the safety shackle the pin is threaded and you have a split or spring pin to stop the nut coming undone. A 3.25T shackle is about the best as these are often rated @ 5 x the SWL (ie it takes just over 16T before it breaks) and they are a convenient size when using strops or rope eyes. Another advantage is that the 'standard' 36mm swivel recovery eye has a 20mm hole through which a 3.25T 19mm pin fits.
Keep the rope in the car and clip it on when needed would be my advice.
