Hey there
I posted some info on this issue on someone else’s thread but thought it better to start a new one.
2008 disco 3 that had the egr’s blanked last year. Has gone into perm limp mode with an EGR fault code.
Garage wont tell me who mapped the car at the same time as I wanted to confirm that the egr’s were mapped out.
I’ve tried hard resets and resetting codes but not really sure what to do next?
Any help or direction really appreciated. 👍☹️

Have the egr’s mapped out. The fault code will still show in diagnostic tests but won’t trigger limp mode. Earlier D3’s didn’t need the mapping done.

👍 this is what’s confusing as they were/are mapped out.

@gstuart thanks for your help so far fella.
i did as you said on badspanners thread and cleaned the map and maf sensors.
I’m not sure about my map as on other images of clean sensors the indentation is much more pronounced than on mine now it’s been cleaned.
My mate came around with his scanner and we monitored the egr valves.
As you can see one valves max and min is 47/48 and then when we turn the engine off the other valve opens and close. min 3 max 98.
So stuck//broken valve do you think? And would this cause limp mode?
Cheers again. 👍

So. I limped my D3 to the garage next to where I work as the chaps said dump it there and they would have a look at the egr as I dint have time to do it for a few days.
10 minutes later blast on the horn and he’s outside in the car. 👍🥇
Long and the short of it is that he unplugged the valve and the fault cleared. So leaving it unplugged as it’s not doing anything anyway and we will see what happens. 🙂🏆
