Hi guys I've just done the cam belt and oil pump change on my d 3 2.7.
Hell I've got an issue twice I've replced the crank seal and twice its pushed out on the road test what have I done wrong as it did not come out on the original pump and the only reason I changed the pump was because it was the old type .
Any help fellas as I'm struggling here.
Thanks in advance

Well its a victor reinz seal that says oem so not really sure

That will be a no then.
OE means orignal equipment.
OEM means original equipment manufacturer, but it might not be rotary seals, for example they might make door handles for LR so in effect they are an OEM.

Genuine not dear at advanced factors, they also sell the special install tools.

The seal you fitted should be fine I think the issue is you havnt pushed it in far enuf it should be recessed slightly not flush does that make sense ?

Ok guys update.
I went out bought a landrover pump and lr seal fitted the both of them but also used the seal seating tool to install it .
And all is good 200 miles on and its fine still full if oil and seal in. place
Things learned are fit genuine landrover pumps and seals and use the seating tool 1mm either side is no good it has and must be exactly 1mm in no more no less.
Job itself isn't to bad except that pig of a starter motor but all good now .
Thanks fellas
