I have noticed that the TD5 and post 2002 V8 share the same tail pipe, however the earlier D2 V8 does not. Does anyone know what the difference is and how much work would be involved in fitting the later tail pipe to an earlier V8? As its half the price!

All the tailpipes I've bought have been the TD5/V8 fit, haven't found one yet that doesn't, but I seem to remember that the studs are reversed on one or t'other. Knocked them out on my V8 and have through-bolts and nuts etc.

I think it's the centre box studs that define which way round. Knock them out and all fit.

Previous owner has already done that! So I can buy the £34 td5 item rather than the £70 early V8 one what a rip off, why was it ever any differnt?
