Guys, HELP!!
My new 98 D2 V8 (spent 10 months on a driveway before I got it) is in for MOT but can't get it to pass the (2500RPM) high idle CO emissions level. Pushes out a bit of blue smoke but it goes away.
Passes emissions at normal idle. Temps are in normal range, doesn't seem to use/leak water or oil.
New Bosch lambda sensors fitted.
Any ideas? Want to get it road legal asap.

I'm trying to think of cheap and easy results.
how old is the air filter and spark plugs?

My V8 had bad emissions throughout its mot history, its habit of being a town car also showed it rarely broke 2500rpm.
So in a fit of temper i took it the long way to the MOT station which involved a dual carriage way, i took it up to 60 in 2nd and held it there :D
maxed it out in all lower gears, when i got to the station the Manifolds were glowing red hot :D

It passed with the cleanest emissions it ever had :D

I'd throw some redex in if i was gonna do it again
