just finished putting ,y engine back together as it failed on the inlet manifold gasket for a 2nd time and decided too blast fluid out the back of the engine, all refitted but notice 2 of the ht leads arking on the rocker covers and its running rough and recommendations the engine is running on LPG cheers Rich

+1 but they should not touch metal. The arcing can sometimes be caused by carbon deposits building up on the insulation, and can be cleaned with white spirit. Can't go wrong with Bosch. If they last half as long as magnecors you're still quids in

We have STI leads from the USA, previously had branded Champion leads which we keep as a backup set.

A new set of unbranded leads from ebay lasted 15 seconds before they broke down and started arcing to ground.

Magnecor and STI are probably the best, or branded Bosch / Champion or original LR. Don't buy a cheap set from ebay.

You cannot completely prevent the leads touching the engine.
