I'm struggling to find a workshop manual for my 99 D2 Td5. They all seem to be for the US market and light on TD5 detail. I've tried a search for LRL0549ENG, but keep getting dead links. Any ideas?

That's great, much appreciated. I've got the starter solenoid to look at in the morning.

Search for VDR 100090-ENG-6 the English / European, 1999 onward version of the D2 workshop manual which can be down loaded or opened from the www.fuddymuckers.co.uk web site in pdf form, (I used a kindle fire).
This does not contain the wiring diagrams or electrical library.

Wow, so glad this thread was started.
Back in the day Haynes manuals were about all you could get but they were reasonably good and nowhere near as patronising, empty of vital material, or mistake ridden as they are today. Also there is now a dearth of exploded diagrams and the photography is awful. But they do at least come in a book you can put in the glove box and read without a computer. so much better than nothing.
But I will certainly be bookmarking this page to download the stuff both you guys pointed us at!
thanks deeply guys, i'm sure the OP feels the same!

Really appreciate the help gents. Great forum and wisdom distilled within.

It has finally stopped raining and I have a day before the next front rolls in across the Tasman. I agree re: Haynes. I looked at a sample of a new manual compared to my old 80s ones and its as if intelligence and professionalism have taken a dive off a cliff. The bike ones are still reasonable however.

Thanks again, time to tackle the solenoid.

All downloaded and exactly what I was hoping for. Once again a massive thank you for the links. Haveva good one.
