Hi,

just coming again with a problem that im facing with my D2.
It start happens that D2 brakes and lock some wheels (not always the same) when TC should work..
Light of TC is never shown (or ABS) but when im trying drive on a slippery terrain, i feel my car breaking (ABS style) until is fully stopped...
Any hints?

I have not heard that! As yet??
But have you checked your Master Cylinder and Calipers or the Brake Lines??

Kev

I'd be tempted to remove the ABS fuses in both boxes and see if he can then drive the vehicle.
It would appear something is applying the brakes for him, which must mean the ECU is sensing the need to apply the brakes.
He could also disconnect all the sensor wires at the connections, so the ECU would have no wrong sensor signal to go by, and then do the above.
The 3 amigos would come on but he could at least drive the flipping thing!

But yes very strange!

That's a system misbehaviour which can have various reasons, complex troubleshooting is needed.... can you see all the "amigos" coming on then off after ignition?... the best would be to try with a known good ECU to rule it out before chasing other odd faults cos the ECU is quite suspect... btw, unplug one ABS sensor no matter which one and see what happens that way... to make it driveable it's enough to remove the ABS pump relay(R10)

Could his brake servo be somehow being triggered to apply the brakes? But then that wouldn't happen on only one, two or three wheels.

No, the servo is triggered only by physical pedal movement, in this case it's some active braking mode erratic behaviour most probably TC cos EBD or ABD would kick in only when the pedal is depressed... unless the SVS doesnt give false inputs to the ECU making it "think" that the pedal is depressed while in reality it's not

I would say "makes sense" to the thing about the servo.
But the rest of it is new, isn't it?!
Fascinating!

@Stanleysteamer I have removed the fuse of ABS and car is driving "normally". Normally means without breaking uncontrolled, of course, ABS, downhill assistance, higher suspension is deactivated.
@sierrafery No "3 amigos" lights are not shown in any time..
unfortunnaly i dont have a nanocom or other debug tool to read erros on ECU.
I already checked if there is some oil in the plugs of the ECU but is totally free of oil...

i would point to the TC since i stop seeing TC light when it should appear during driving..
All the lights are shown during the self-check before ignition of the engine.

The ECU which can have oil in the plug has nothing to do with the ABS, it's for engine management, you have a very odd issue with SLABS ECU misbehaviour and unfortunately this oddity can't be diagnosed without nanocom or similar to see some live inputs and i'm not up to a geassing game... first suspect would be the SLABS ECU in this case and untill it's not ruled out i can't help you much

Hi,
Just a brief update about the problem solution. One ABS sensor not working properly and I had to change the ABS block in the front. Problem is 85% solved :) I don’t have anymore the blocking situation. Now, only happened that while driving in the highway the 3 amigos came on. After stopping the car and turned off, in the next boot only ABS was on while didn’t start driving. Currently no lights are on… I believe there is still something not right but
