hey guys

my D2 was originally on air suspension and was at some stage changed to coils springs. iv noticed recently when she's sitting there engine off the suspension clicks,it does this for hours.

since iv had it she has drained the battery a few times(2 different NEW batterys, both were perfect) and i think this is linked some how.

sometimes when i go over a speed bump enthusiastically it would send the air suspension light on,is there anyway i can completely disconnect the air compressor so it wont be draining power ???

all help appreciated as im am now going to college a good distance away and there is no public transport near me so i cant be stuck in a car park miles from home(again )

the best thing is to hook in a tester(nanocom, hawkeye, etc) and reprogramm the BCU for coils...untill then take out the SLS relay(R5 engine bay.....the third from the inner row.....first bigger near the small ones)

welcome...and if u want to do a complete job disconnect all plugs from the compressor housing cos the SLABS ECU is also working on the valves and u cant disconnect the ECU due to the ABS part of it feeded through the same pin.

As Fery has said the proper way to sort this out is to connect a diagnostic machine to your car and tell it that it is now on coil suspension rather than air suspension. Once that is done all reference (by the cars systems) to air suspension will cease.

the back arse of no where ,co wicklow, ireland :)

thanks for all the advise guys,im going to plug her in in work tomorow if i can get back from college on time
