Hi everyone, I have come across a problem that I cannot solve on my own and am looking for some advice. My 2004 Discovery 2 TD5 engine became tappy and on inspection the spring had seized solid in the down position.
A new injector was purchased and fitted (green top). I tried to set the injectors to the recommended procedure by getting the cam at the highest point. Turning the adjusting screw down until tight and then back one turn and trying to tighten the locknut. This was repeated for all five injectors. Each injector adjusting screw seems to be out the same distance (too far) with the locknut being on the groove in the adjusting screw causing the locknut to strip.
Any help on input on why this is would be greatly appreciated.
