Had to take front half shaft and bearing out in one unit today, left the sensor on the hub and unplugged the loom at the other end.
Now have a ABS (only) light on, when I did the other side it logged a dtc but not on the dash.
Got fed up with Land Rovers for one day so haven't checked it yet. If I can't get a reading from it with a scanner or multimeter is it worth getting a cable/sensor only or is it new wheel bearing time, currently no play in the bearing.
I'm thinking I may have disturbed the sensor a bit, not directly, when trying to remove the bearing from the hub carrier.
Should mention that I have only driven it to turn it round so minimal speed.

After a sensor fault was logged the ABS warning stays on alone untill the vehicle exceeds 10mph then goes out if no fault is present or if there is a current fault the 3(or 4) amigos will come back so you'll have to exceed that speed to see what happens

Glad it's sorted. Did you turn the ign. on with an ABS sensor unplugged to generate that fault ?

Thinking about it I probably did and that's what put the light on.
When I had it unplugged the other side last year I didn't switch the ignition on therefore no light on dash.
Makes sense now.
