After hours of searching and some great advice on this forum, I am trying to find a 1999 TD5 Eu2 D2 AAP sensor as I work my way through all the turbo cursed intake sensors, this is the last one to replace to try and finally cure my power issues. I left it until last because I couldn’t find one anywhere.

So, my question, is this the same part https://www.gsfcarparts.com/bos0261230439
?

If it is, please give me a few mins before you all go and order one that isn’t over £200 😂

Despite this being my first post, this forum has been invaluable to getting to know and understand my Disco. 🙌🏼

Thanks all!

Robin

No, it's not
Thanks. That sad. Looks like I might need to bite the bullet. Replaced MAF, MAP and waste gate actuator already with genuine parts and this has given some improvement, but still feels like the boost is low. Also have the three amigos, but ignoring that for now 😂

Hi, might be worth telling the good peeps on here the actual symptoms you've been experiencing. Have you got (or got) access to a nanocom for some live data ? If so post some pics (of the data) on here & one or two people spring to mind who will point you in the right direction. There's also the introduce yourself thread if you fancy popping over there;),good luck & all the best.

No nanocom, but thinking of getting one. Symptoms are breathless/very little power over 2.5k rpm, especially in 3/4th. Also cuts out/hesitates especially when warm around 3k rpm. Pretty sure this is a sensor somewhere, the local LR specialist only found a fault code relating to the MAF and freed the waste gate valve.

Replacing MAF made no difference, MAP improved power a bit, but barely. Waste gate actuator has made a difference as I think the valve is now actually operating, and the power is slightly better again, from reading it seems like and feels like the boost is limited, and most roads seem to point to these and the AAP, so I am on to that having eliminated the rest of the intake sensors, which is ok as 140k miles and 25 years my plan was to replace most of the electronics/sensors over time anyway as they get gummed up or wear out or just stop working without throwing fault codes.

Fuel pressure is around 5.5bar at the pump so that’s all good.

I’m around Worcester/Evesham if anyone local with a Nancom wants to help out a disco noob 🙂

Yes. There was some there but not a lot. Cleaned that all out too.
cleaning the oil there is like a massage to a wooden leg, you have to replace the loom ASAP and once you are there better put new injector seals(copper washers)
