Hi all. Been playing mackamole with the water leaks and have 1 left which `I have found some information on but not sure if it is applicable to my issue, which is now only on the passenger side.
I've replaced the sun roof seals, and the roof bar gaskets, checked and extended the drain hoses -b all ok.
Taken off front wings and welded areas of concern on the square section reinforced]cement that runs to headlight body mount, welded gaps where the inner wing meets the bulkhead and resealed all that area. That stopped a major leak down the inside of the inner wing seam.
Next replaced the windscreen, glaziers and body shop ensured no corrosion anywhere in the aperture, no issues at all (rats).
Took of plastic scuttle cover loosened heater inlet bolts and covered/filled in with dinitrol sealant, and bathed the seam there with dinitril cavity & underbody sealant. Using endoscope and a hose there is definitely no water emanating from the front of the vehicle.
There is however, water escaping over the top of the new door seal, at the front bottom corner. Its not coming in through the door, it appears to run down between the door metal and the opposing face of the door seal, then comes over the top and pools in the foot well.
The only advice I've been able to find is to apply a sealant to the flange that the door seal pushes onto, using the sealant `I've attempted to push the seal upon a bit so it protrudes higher in the door aperture, waiting for that to go off before I tip another load of water over it.
The seals are the black ones from Rimmer, CFE500580Black.
Any ideas anyone?
Andy
