Hi guys,

I've got a 94 D1 300TDI, currently I've got 33" Maxxis Buckshot Mudders, despite being MT tyres they don't seem to like mud very well, at all!. I'm thinking it's time to treat the old girl to a new pair of shoes, I've been looking around and the Maxxis Trepadors or Mudzilla's seem a pretty good option. However the first issue I'm finding is actually locating any in the UK, they seem to be on back order with no one really knowing when they'll land in the UK. Does anyone know of anyone selling some or has stock (35 12.50 R16) If not can any one recommend some decent 35 12.50 R16 Extreme Mud tyres? :)

Regarding 35" tyres, currently I have a 3" lift and the 33's fit under fairly well (tiny bit of rubbing on full lock but nothing major). What will I need to do to get them under the arch? Will I need offset rims? Spacers? Lift blocks? Cutting the arch? I've read conflicting messages online about what components I need to change when putting 35's on. What do I actually need to change?

I'm also looking into some front and read lockers, but again I've read conflicting messages about what I need to change component wise. What do I need to change?

Thanks guys for your help :)

Your 300 is going to struggle to pull 35" rubber on standard gears.

Suggest F&R lockers with 4.7 R&Ps to solve gearing issues and yes you will need to think about the rubbing as the tyres are a bit taller.

What offset are current rims? Any less than -33 and you will need to look at spacers, even then the -33 rims might need additional offsetting.

Maxxis Treps are tyre of choice but yes on back order, have you seen the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw MTZ?

Might be an idea to look at a whole package of wheel and tyre if you're looking to get them sooner rather than later.

Hi mate,

Those tyres look great. However from a quick search online I can't seem to find a UK supplier, do you know of any?
