I'm a pretty skilled and experienced Spanner monkey and take most things on, but wouldn't dream of this one! Imagine spending a day taking it out whilst its performing poorly, spend a good day overhauling it and then another fighting to get it back in! Worse case scenario it's worse than before from the off or lasts 5k and damages something else.
Fair play to you if you have a go and it comes off, guess that's the fun.
Good luck!!

ChrisHughes, thanks for your reply and advice, im a novice spanner man but will give most things a go, and if a job is worth doing its worth doing right and make a good job, i have done alot of research on this ird unit and it is a big task for me, its just poor or bad advice from the experts that made me think of trying it myself. worse scenario is i buy a reconditioned unit from a recommended place. there are a few recommended on this site,
