Hello again,
Now I've got my first engine rebuild in bits I need to think what needs machining.
I was hoping to improve compression a bit and ensuring no H gasket trouble by having the head skimmed.
The 5 brg 2.25 petrol engine has covered 100k and was working fine till I took it apart.... I would like to know how much I should have skimmed off?
Also while it's in bits I may as well fit new valve seats for unleaded petrol, does anyone know a machinist in the cornwall area who can do this without it costing two legs and a hand?
