Just head skimmed and a number of the cracks are now aparent, the second is to the left of the glow plug hole.. Has anyone seen this before or had any experience with this problem..???? The crack going from the edge of valve seat to the injector hole only goes down 4mm and does travel through to the valve chamber. Any advice appreciated

Have you had it pressure tested where it was skimmed? if not why not? When engineers skimm heads & they see cracks they advise it to be pressure tested & normally have a prosess for repair. Also there are some company's advertising in Land Rover mags that weld/repair cylinder heads. Some heads can have cracks that do not have or cause problems. I have had some heads x-rayed before to get a better idea of the extent of the cracks (also have been aderts in LRO mags for x-raying)
