Hi guys still a bit new on here and i have had a look through the last few threads talking about this problem. so here we go!

i recently replaced my fuel pump then the new one broke!! so replaced with a more expensive one :(:( . then driving along the engine started to shudder revs dropped and the engine cut out. this happened on a straight road and again on a steep hill. after waiting and trying to start she went after about 10 mins. then nothing happened until the weekend when it happened again and then again to night! My cousin has suggested the earthing straps clean them and make sure they are not full of rust etc clean them if needs be. Oh and i have changed the waste gate valve last week as i thought that might have been that.. can anyone give me more pointers??:confused::confused::confused::confused:

thanks Kris

you have to rule out some things:
1. replace the main relay(R9) or swap with R8(heated screen) and the fuel pump relay(R1) with R3(headlamp wash) ...both in engine bay fusebox

2. check the plug/wiring of the inertia switch

3. addapt a fitting to a pressure gauge and screw it instead of the temp sensor in the FPR...see if you get constant 4 bar there

i presume you have a new quality fuel filter there...is the pump noisy when you turn ignition on pos II ?
