I having probs with my 99 1.8 Petrol Freelander. Ive done a search but cant find anyone with a similar prob.
Its recently been in at a stealership to have a wheel problem sorted.
However whilst driving up the M6 yesterday it juddered a couple of times.
A little later the engine juddered again then cut out, at the same time a loud knocking noise from the undercarriage happened and stopped when i pulled into the hard shoulder.
I tried starting it up again and it wouldnt, it would turn over ok though.
I got out and checked to see if it had boiled over which it hadnt, checked oil for HGF and that was fine, checked driveshafts and prop shafts and all seemed ok.
Then after 10 mins it started again and has been fine for about 60 miles.
Now, I am thinking its possibly a fuel (prob pump) problem but the knocking has thrown me a bit.
Can anyone out there shed any light on what it may be??
Cheers
