Hi All.
Bit of a strange one, only happened a few times but starting to concern me now :(
I'm driving along, all is fine when the engine suddenly stops, I pull over a try restarting but it just turns over but wont start. After 20-30 mins of trying to start every now and then, it just starts and is fine again? Last night I drove out to collect some off road wheels, was fine on the way there but wouldn't start after collecting them, after half hour it started up and was fine all the way home?
Cheers All

If diesel could be fuel stop solenoid or wiring fault affecting same the solenoid needs constant power otherwise engine cuts out

On my car same prob but solenoid ok theres a fault in wiring i cannot find or maybe the alarm so i have run a wire to solenoid from glowplug relay and problem solved.
I'll keep looking for wiring fault but its not easy as the problem is not always there....

An easy way to check if the solenoid is working is to remove the connector that goes into the top of it (Assuming it isn't a later model with the security cap on) then turn the ignition on and put the connector back on. The solenoid should make an audible click as it gets power.

A sticky solenoid can sometimes be freed with a couple of gentle taps with a small hammer which can keep you mobile until you get time to fix it.
