Hi All,
So my defender finally made it to the U.S. Sunday and I know that customs was going to be a little difficult, but now they have impounded my defender and I read that some people have had theirs impounded for up to a year. Any defender owners in the U.S., how long was your's, if it was, impounded for?

Thanks
-Kyle

Oh, Sorry to hear that.

I thought only cars over 25 years old could be imported. What spec is your "defender". From what I have heard a lot were crushed.!!!

Fingers crossed you get away with it and get your motor safe and sound.

Cheers

Yea thats true, the year built is December of 1990, but military service date is January 1991

Does it still have all the original spec fitted to it, original engine, axles etc.

There was an american lawyer ( surprise surprise ) that mangaed to get some of the Landies released from captivity, might be worth doing a search for his name.

Cheers

Yea, all the numbers matched the original factory numbers.

I heard about him, off the top of your head do you know when this happened?
