Sorry, but the threads are coming thick and fast! I've searched the forum, but can't find any details on the cup holder. My cup holder won't go back in, so before I track a replacement, any tips or hot fixes for this?

Also, I DID find some information on the dash repair, mine is lifting quite badly. I have seen those bracket screw repairs, and the best price I have found is £39 inclusive of P & P. Is that the best solution and price?

You know, my first few weeks as a Saab Classic owner were spent backwards and forwards on the Saab forum. Ever since then, I like to think that I have paid back the Saabists on that site with a return of valuable information over the years.

I hope its the same with this site too! :)

If you pull the holder out there will be some springs and things, check they are all seated properly and the case plate is folding up properly.

You can also take away the non essential stuff and just pull it out when you need it, thats what I have done.

I got cupholder from a scrappy for £10. I was trying to get the clock out to change the bulb. I slipped and cracked it. I live in Bury Manchester. There is a breakers that only does Landrovers. I have my Dash repair fitted. Worried about hitting a wire underneath.

Aah, that explains why my clock isn't that bright (a bit like me :))! There is a bulb behind the clock? Is it easy to fit? Do you have the bulb spec details?

just pop the clock out, remove the bulb and take it to halfrauds, they will rob you for a new one, refit the same ;)

Always easier doing something the second time:mad: .Remove ashtray & blanked switch panel. Behind both you will see 3 screws each side. Use Philips screwdriver to undo. The cup holder tray slides out. Then with slight pressure underneath the clock it will slide out easily. Halfords do the bulb for £1.49. Take the old one with you. Just makes it easier to get the right one.

In one of the land rover forums I saw a trick using 2 credit cards to prise out. But it didn't work for me.
