Silly Question Alert.....

Is the Cubby Box Lid (between the seats) supposed to lift itself when you press the release button?

Mine isn't doing it, so I'd guess the lickle gas strut in there is past its best - any idea of a cost to replace?

You have got to be care full with ebay sometimes. I was going to buy a dash mat from ebay (@ £21.99) and checked the dealer just before i purchased it and it was only £10 plus the VAT. So i would check the dealer for them.

I think i need one because mine has poped up since the day i got it.

I have a 4.0 Se, Manual and mine too doesnt pop-up, you press the button and lift up the cover. I think the one listed on ebay comes in as additional stuff or in the autobiography models. Might be... Why not try it with your local scrap yard or if someones breaking his car...

I don't know - mine won't stay up though, so I know it's duff !

er hum!...............................what to say now?

i spose some of us are better equipped! LOL

mine was floppy as hell till i replaced it with a new one and now after an initial lift with ya finger it pops up lovely and stays there.....:)

and yes i realy am talking about the cubby gas strut thingy! think i paid a tenner for it from the bay! what where you guys thinking of?

Hi As Redrange states when you press the button the lid pops up by itself and stays up. You just need to replace the hydraulic piston. I bought mine from Stratstone Solihull £11.99 + vat and it took 15 mins to change.......nice easy job :D
