Good evening all, should be a simple one this. I have a hard top 90 which still has a centre seat. I want to fit a cubby box in its place but I find the extra seat useful. I don't want a rear bench seat because it will be wrecked within minutes and the space is vital. Can I get a single fold away seat that's legal? Thanks for any help folks.

Can get single front facing one (folding) as well - Paddocks are cheap, Exmoor Trim more expensive

Ian (instantsquid) has posted piccys of his installation before

Yes - needs insurance and DVLA notification

Thanks mate, I will check paddocks. Regarding dvla/ins notification, if its a farce as most things are when it means any form of communication with the dvla then I may just scrap the idea and just fit the cubby box, its just helpful with the third seat.

You should ntify but I don`t see why it should be be a problem -I`d guess there must be a few LR`s with single foldaway seats in the back (like FFR`s with the original kit). I`d also fit a seatbelt if I were you, even if only a lap belt, and I would buy a new one (try Securon).
If you are ever close try Oaktree Garage in Wheathapstead Herts - they often had secondhand seats of all types when I got my benches.
Lateral thought - keep the centre seat but have a removable cubby box on it ?

I found another way around it. I left the centre seat back there on my 110 van and then made a cubby box that fitted in the same way that the seat base does. I kept the spare seat cushion in the back of my landy and switched between cubby box and seat as and when needed.
