I have just noticed (after 7 years) a cryptic sticker by the rad when you open the bonnet.
What do they mean “Do not drain?”
Is that to keep cats safe?
Or have Landrover invented an antifreeze you never need to change?
Or is it to make you pay for a service at the stealers?
And anyhow, where is the best place to drain from? Bottom rad hose?
Do I need to bleed on refill? I’ve got a feeling there’s a black x head bleed screw to the right of the engine near the bulkhead.
I’m just doing all my fluids. Just got antifreeze, brake and clutch to go now.
I was going to get brake (and clutch) done at the local as I can’t bleed the abs unit.

many thanks

See attached sheets. You will find that about a litre will remain in the system when it stops draining, probably some left in the heater matrix I guess.

Never understood these stickers, maybe it's a... Do not drain or your engine will overheat.. kind of thing o_O

Historically it was to stop home bodgers just letting it drain into their gravel drives when changing thermostat/ water pump etc, then filling with neat h2o,
Stop pollution, and stop corrosion in the engine
