Could someone please tell me where the hella ecu is located on 1999 4.6 as my nanocom keeps saying cannot communicate with it and my cruise control has packed up cheers

Bit of luck not to serious have read old posts and my centre consol switch ain't lighting up so could be just a fuse hopefully

hi , I have a 2000 thor , its probably the plastic or rubber pipes have split at the ends on the connectors under bonnet ,, just pull them out a little and cut end off where split and re-fit ,,,its a very common problem on them ,,as the vechile is 16 yrs old and the pipes perish !!!!! ok pete , and happy new year . regards mozz

Perished pipes won't stop the master switch light from working more likely relay or abs module my bets the relay do you here a click at all ?

Sorry for delay in replying been away the centre consol switch is lighting up my mistake will check them pipes thanks mozz

my switch doesnt light up my problem was the pipes going to the t piece where the vac unit is were perished cut ends off refit perfect now so worth a look at that first

Would have thought the vacuum pipes being worn wouldn't stop nanocom connecting to ecu tho

Can someone please tell me which relay does the hella ecu 1999 4.6 Thor

There is no relay for cruise ECU it gets it's power from BECM as far as i can see on diagrams. Nanocom may not play with cruise ECU unless it's switched on.

Rite again cheers just had a look on the nanocom forum it must b switched on to communicate with the ecu fink its the only one that has to b turned on to work

Gave that a try no joy still doesn't connect to ecu does anyone no where the hella ecu is located may need a new one

Behind facia just to right of steering column. Should be AMR5700 on your car. Loads on eBay for not much money.

Not much in the Thor to go wrong when I sorted mine it was the cc module seems a common failure my symptoms were main cc button working I could here a click under the steering wheel so relay seemed ok I did change the vac pump and cut the vac pipes back just to to be sure but no cc in the end swopped the module hey presto all working

Go through the check procedure in Rave. This will help identify if the issue is ECU, Inverter Module, Steering Switches, etc.
