Hello,

Parts to retrofit cruise control are proving quite expensive, wondering if you great folks here may have some parts laying around??

here is some of the part numbers I need

YUH50080YUH (Currently £72 for a switch!!)

YUH100731LNF ( Steering wheel controls)

scu100301(ECU Mount Bracket)

thanks!

I've got a used, so programmed CC ECM somewhere in storage.
And I think I might even have the dash switch too.

I know I don't have the steering wheel switches.

Hi Nodge thanks for the reply. That would be awesome I forgot to mention I also need the ECU. If you manage to find them please send me a message with the price and we’ll sort it from there :)

cheers
Brad

I'll have a dig about for them over the weekend. I've got to reorganise my stash of LR parts anyway, as I'm going to be moving my FL1 goodies on, to make space for my ever growing pile of FL2 parts.

All good things must come to an end

Great stuff thanks

Hi Nodge it doesn’t let me DM, did you find any parts?

Cheers

Sorry, you can't PM me, I've restricted who can do that. I'll PM you when I find them. ;)
I've filed them somewhere safe, and you know how that works.
I'll find them, eventually.

Hi all,

To bump this thread, I am still in need of cruise control parts if anyone has those at a decent price.

Thanks

I definitely have some CC parts somewhere. I've not seen them for a while, but can dig them out given time.

Hello,
Hoping that someone can help me out with this. I have a 2006 Freelander TD4 auto and I have fitted all of the parts listed for the retro fit (CC master switch, Steering wheel controls and the CC ECU SCB100211).

Unfortunately when I turn on the master switch, I get nothing on the dash and the steering wheel buttons don't seem to do anything.

The CC ECU came from a rover 75, is this possibly the issue, despite them being the same part number? Or could the issue lie with the main ECU?

I suppose the part could also be faulty.

Many Thanks

It's possible the CC module isn't programmed to work with the Freelander. I'm not sure about cross vehicle compatibility of these. Have you connected a suitable diagnostic machine to see if you can actually see the CC module on the data bus?

So I bought an Autophix 7310 diagnostic tool and that couldn’t detect the CC module. I got a message of ‘No support system’ when selecting the cruise control option on the tool.

I then managed to get another CC module from a 2002 Freelander and that also doesn’t work and can’t be read by the tool. However I’m now getting a fault
Cruise control malfunction (0x1Е05) when I scan for codes on the main engine ECU. I didn’t get this with the one from the Rover.

It’s not looking promising…

It sounds like something needs to be configured to make CC work. Unfortunately the equipment that will configure the FL1 systems is T4, which is difficult to get access too these days. I'm sure there are easier aftermarket systems available, which should work with the factory switches.

Did you try if the brake pedal or break light switches work? Cost 10£ to change the

XKB000020 XKB000021 XKB000022 XKB100150L one and it worked on mine, sorry copied it over and now all bold.
