YOU DONT NEED TO DISCONNECT THE AIR BAG THERES JUST ENOUGH SLACK ON THE WIRE'S TO LIFT IT OFF AND PUT IT ON ITS SIDE ON THE SPOKES OF THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE YOU CUT THE HOLE, I DID'NT HAVE THE STEREO CODE (STILL DONT)SO I DID'NT WANT TO DISSCONNECT THE BATTERY, any one any software to get the radio codes:D :D

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS JOB WITH A LIVE AIRBAG.

If the thing goes off you could be maimed or killed by a couple of kilos of steering wheel metal and plastic blasting into you at close range.

It isn't worth the risk, but then, I'm a wimp.
However, I have reached nearly 64 years in relative safety!

YES yes, but that's only nearly that age on the OUTSIDE.

Inside, I'm a totally irresponsible teenager ....

am about to try to retro-fit cruise to my 2003 td5..have got both switches but does anyone know where i can get template for cutting into steering wheel..any help would be apprieciated

take the the radio control out of the other side of the steering wheel and make a template of that the hole in that side of the steering wheel and you will also need to make a bracket to fit the switch to the steering wheel and again take the beacket off the radio control and copy that then fit it the other way around use two 4mm nut and bolts to fit the switch to the bracket and a 3/4" x 8 self tapper to fit the bracket to the steering wheel

hate to be a pain but have removed 2 torx screws and lifted up airbag, but am unable to disconnect. is it the electric block into steering wheel or connector at base of air bag? have tried block but cant seem to pull out and dont want to touch airbag base until sure.
