Hi Guys, My 1996 2.5 dse is making some nasty creaking noises, when steering is on full lock also, when cornering slowly. Any ideas what it might be?. Cheers. cfc123

How about the ball-joints and steering damper?

Can you get someone to move the steering while you have a good look from underneath?

pleased you said about the clonk as the front passenger side clonks when i go over speed bumps and have looked all over the under side but cannot find the prob how do you check for a fubard C.V

If its bumps sounds like a shocker or similar to check cv go to a car park drive in a circle on full lock both ways if its bad your hear it clonking ;)

He means Datatek (esteemed member on here).
Check your damper first - can remove to check whether you still get the noise.

Hi, there, When you say, could be data. what exactly do you mean?. Cheers, Andy

I mean excacly that it could be that what data suggested or pump on full lock
Just inspect all things associated with steering someone turns it for you you get under there and take a closer look at every thing quiet simple .
